Llano County IVSS Transition
Texas moved county victim notification from VINE to Texas IVSS-Counties on September 1, 2025. Older web pages may still say VINELink, VINE, or SAVIN. Those names describe the former service, not the current county portal. The current system is designed to search custody or supervision data supplied by participating counties and to accept notification requests for a matched person.
Llano County participation was not confirmed through an official county list during the 2026 source review. Open the live portal and check for Llano or the relevant agency before relying on it. The IVSS-Counties call center at 866-268-8959 is available around the clock and can help confirm coverage. If Llano is not offered, use the Llano County Sheriff and the county public-information route instead.
State prison and parole records use a separate TDCJ IVSS portal. A person transferred from Llano County Jail to TDCJ remains in custody, even though the county record shows that local custody ended. Federal prisoners are outside both Texas portals.
Search One Llano County Person
IVSS-Counties accepts a full or partial name and several agency identifiers. A name alone is weak evidence. Use a DOC ID, state identification number, Jail ID, or permanent booking number when one is known. The portal also requires CAPTCHA, so a search cannot be completed through a copied result link.
- Open Texas IVSS-Counties and confirm that Llano County or the named holding agency is available.
- Enter the first and last name in the displayed order, or use a supported identifier. Complete the CAPTCHA.
- Review possible matches. Compare the agency, middle name, birth details, booking number, or another identifier before selecting a record.
- Open the matching record and copy its exact custody, supervision, and location labels. Do not rewrite a transfer as a community release.

A no-result has several meanings. The county may not participate, the data may not include a person who is no longer confined, the name may differ, or the record may sit under another agency. IVSS itself warns that people no longer in custody may be omitted. Absence is therefore not an affirmative release record.
Llano County IVSS Record Fields
The live record depends on data supplied by the participating agency. Preserve each label as shown because custody status, supervision, and a processed release are different events. The following fields are search and comparison points documented for the current portal, not a promise that every Llano record contains all of them.

Request Llano County Release Alerts
Once a correct record is open, IVSS-Counties permits a notification request with or without an account. Use only the contact methods and event choices offered by the current screen. The CAPTCHA-gated registration flow was not fully verifiable from the static source capture, so no current four-digit PIN requirement should be assumed.
- Select the request-notifications option on the matched record.
- Choose whether to proceed with an account or through the available no-account path.
- Select only the alert methods and custody events that the portal currently presents.
- Complete every confirmation step shown for the selected contact method.
- Save the agency name and registration details, then verify a later alert with that agency.
Legacy Texas VINE instructions often mention phone or email registration and a four-digit PIN used to acknowledge calls. That was the older workflow. It should not be imported into 2026 IVSS instructions unless the current screen asks for it. When help is needed, the IVSS-Counties call center can explain the live process.
Verify Llano County Release Alerts
IVSS is a notification layer, not the official release transaction. For a local booking, request the actual release date and time, release manner or code, and destination from Llano County. The centralized public-information process accepts a narrow written request. A court order may authorize release, but another charge or hold can delay physical exit.
For a sentenced state prisoner, use the TDCJ inmate search and TDCJ offender-information channels. Its web data is at least 24 hours old and is centered on current inmates, so former records may require email or phone follow-up. For a federal sentence, use the BOP locator. Neither county IVSS nor TDCJ IVSS covers ordinary federal custody.
Two Texas Release Alert Systems
County and state-prison notifications must not be blended. IVSS-Counties follows participating county data. TDCJ IVSS follows the state-prison and parole population and can offer event notices tied to parole review, release certificates, revocation, bench-warrant movement, discharge, warrant action, escape, recapture, or death when applicable. The offered choices control what a registrant can receive.
The state IVSS interface is the proper visual reference for a person received by TDCJ.
That separate screen reinforces the custody split: a Llano County bond release belongs with the Sheriff, while a later prison or parole event belongs with TDCJ.
TDCJ Victim Services lists email, text, letter, and in some circumstances phone notifications. Contact choices can change. Use the live form or call 800-848-4284 rather than relying on an old registration handout.
The current county transition also affects registrations made before September 2025. TDCJ's 2026 notification brochure says prior VINE registrations were imported for counties that joined IVSS-Counties. It also says notification can continue when a person in a participating county is convicted and sent to TDCJ, without a new registration. That continuity depends on actual county participation and a correctly matched record. Since no official list conclusively established Llano coverage, call the county IVSS line before assuming an old VINE registration moved successfully.

Neither office replaces a Llano County release sheet. A registration may remain active if a person drops from the visible county search and can reactivate if that person later returns to custody. That design makes a disappearing result especially poor evidence of a completed release.
Read Llano Release Terms Carefully
One alert can mark movement without freedom from custody. The source record must show what happened and which agency took control. These terms help keep the result accurate.
- Release
- A processed exit from one custodian. It may be to the community or to another agency.
- Transfer
- A handoff that ends Llano custody while confinement continues elsewhere.
- Parole
- Conditional release from TDCJ under Parole Division supervision.
- Discharge
- Completion of the sentence obligation under the agency's current calculation.
When the status is unclear, ask for the release code key or an existing explanatory record. Do not expand an agency abbreviation from guesswork.
For a recent Llano event, record the time of the IVSS check and the time of any alert. Then compare them with the Sheriff's transaction and the controlling court file. Court action can precede jail processing, and a county handoff can precede appearance in the next agency's system. TDCJ web information is delayed by at least a day and updates on working days. Conflicting timestamps often measure different steps rather than showing that one source is false.
